John 14:6
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
There is nothing for you to do other than accept the gift, you can not get into Heaven any other way.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Jesus paid for your sins. Through God's grace and mercy we get to go to Heaven by accepting that gift and letting the Holy Spirit guide us.
John 16:33
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
Matthew 7:13-14
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Life will get harder, you will have the Holy Spirit in you and you will know what is right and what is wrong. You will be tested to prove your faith. You will be rewarded for this with a place in heaven.
Proverbs 30:8-9
Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.
Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’
Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.
We will be given what God wants us to have. You might be blessed with a big house, fancy cars, and a lot of money. You might be blessed with a large family and countless friends. You might also be blessed with none of these things. Treasures in heaven is the goal, not here on earth.
Romans 7:21-25
So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!
We are broken people living in a broken world. None of us are perfect and we will continue to sin, even when we do not want to. Continue to pray and try.
Habakkuk 2:3
For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
God has a plan for us. We can want something to happen and we can work towards it but everything is not going to change overnight, this is a journey.
Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Take comfort in knowing you are not alone, we all have good and bad things happening in our life. We are supposed to turn to God and lean on him to take our burdens.
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
All good things come from God. While we will experience troubles, we can pray and learn to let God take control. We might not find out why these things happen but they all happen for a reason.
